私立立教中学校在学中に友人に誘われリコーダー・クァルテットを始める。立教高校在学中にリコーダー製作を決意し、多田逸郎氏にリコーダー演奏を師事。高校卒業後、渡独。フライブルグにてG.シェック氏に師事。バーゼル・スコラ・カントルムにてリコーダー演奏をM.ピゲ氏に師事。ピゲ氏所有のオリジナル、ステンズビー Jr. のアルト・リコーダーを参考に独学でリコーダー製作を開始。その後、チューリッヒ音楽院でM. ヴァイレンマン氏に、アムステルダム・スヴェーリンク音楽院でW.ファン・ハウヴェ氏にリコーダー演奏を師事。1989年ドイツ・カルフ・リコーダー国際コンクールにて最優秀後期バロック演奏賞、‘92リコーダーアンサンブル部門第3位を受賞。’90・’93ブルージュ国際古楽コンクール・ソロ楽器部門にて栄誉賞受賞。以降、主にリコーダー製作活動に従事。現在、中世の音楽を演奏するAventure メンバー。アムステルダム在住。

'81: studied playing the recorder with M. Piguet at Scola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel copied original Stainsby Jr. which Piguet owned and started building recorders by himself
'85: studied playing the recorder with Matthias Weilenman at Concervatorium Zürch
'87: studied playing the recorder with W. van Hauwe at Sweelinck comservatorium in Amsterdam
'92: graduated since then, has mainly built recorders and also given concerts in Europe and Japan till now. lives in Amsterdam now
'89: got the prize "Beste Interpretation des Hochbarockes" at Internationale Blockflötenwettbewerb in Calw
'92: won 3rd prize with recorder ensemble at Internationale Blockflötenwettbewerb in Calw
'90, '93: got "eervol mededeling (semi finalist)" at solo department of Brugge international historical instrument competition
